What this regulation does
EPA finalized the first-ever national, legally enforceable drinking water standards for six PFAS: PFOA (4 ppt), PFOS (4 ppt), PFNA (10 ppt), PFHxS (10 ppt), HFPO-DA/GenX (10 ppt), and a hazard index for mixtures of PFNA, PFHxS, GenX, and PFBS. Public water systems must comply by 2029.
